What is it about
We start off with being introduced to our main character Alexandra, who gets dumped on her birthday when her fiancé leaves her for her best friend. She throws herself into her work as a matchmaker, all the while hoping that her ex-fiancé would return to her. Soon after, body parts begin to appear at her doorstep, with her past suddenly confronting her. Then she learns her ex-fiancé is missing.
As a matchmaker, she is introduced to two clients, with whom she gets close to. Both clients have mysterious backgrounds, much like Alexandra’s. As the story develops, we find out what happened with her parents and the fate of her ex-fiancé.
What I like about it
As a debut novel, it is an indulgent read with lots of twists and turns. It will satiate anyone looking for a fun, dark and a quick read. BTW, I love the book cover!
