What is it about
A group of young friends who are stranded on the Amalfi Coast while they wait for their boat to be fixed, come across a well-dressed, older gentleman staying at the same hotel. They invite him to join them after he heals one friend suffering from a tennis shoulder with a simple touch and provides the other with stock market tip that helps him make money. Margot, one of the friends, is suspicious of him but at the same time, intrigued by his gift. When he takes her to a secret place to help jog her memory, she learns about her past and discovers they once knew each other in another lifetime.
What I like about it
It is a short read that can be consumed in an afternoon. I was not expecting a story of reincarnation or about time travel, so this was a breath of fresh air from the usual André Aciman stories that I have read so far.
